RESPONSE 1:They way the author suspense things is he makes so there is alot of action and he makes you wonder about what is going to happen next.

QUESTION 1:What has surprised you in the book? Why?
RESPONSE 1: One thing that has surprised me was that from the beginning to the point I have read so far there is alot of action.This surprises me because alot of the books I read most of them are really boring in the beginning and in the middle there is barely any action.

QUESTION 2:What in the book upsets you or bothers you? Why?
RESPONSE 2: Something that bothers me in the book is that Percys mom married another man because her husband got lost at sea. I also bothers me because her new husband, Gabe is really mean to percy and hes only nice to percys mom if he wants something from her.

RESPONSE 1: I wouldn't like Gabe to be my friend because hes a jerk and all he cares about is gabbling, food, and hes car.

RESPONSE 2:Grover Is a important character because he is supposed to protect Percy Jackson from all the monsters that are trying to kill him.

The Lightning Thief

I want to read the Lightning Thief because alot of my friends say its good. I also want to read it because by reading a summary of the book the characters sound really cool. Another reason I want to read it is because the book sounds like a action book and I really like those types of books. The author if this book is Rick Riordan.

Cry of the hunters

I first hid in the thicket. I was hiding from Jack and the hunters because they were trying to kill me. I am so terrified that I am going to die. They are throwing spears and throwing big boulders at the thicket. Samneric joined Jack's tribe because they were terrified of Jack and they didn't want to be tied up and beat up. In order to get me out of the thicket they had to light the thicket on fire. This is good because in the smoke they can't see me but its also hard to breathe. When they were about to kill me I ran to the beach and saw the naval officer. The naval officer doesn't know what the heck is going and the island is on fire. There are little boys and bigger boys chasing me. Jack stepped out and looked like a little boy. Percival stepped forward and couldn't even say his name because he couldn't believe how much he changed while on the island. I took responsibility of the boys on the island so when the naval officer asked who was the leader, I said it was me. The naval officer is disappointed in us because were boys from England and he was surprised these boys would act like that.

Blog 8: Gift for the Darkness And Blog 9: A View To Death

The scene where the Lord of the Flies talks to Simon and threatens him is the most terrifying. In the scene the lord of the flies is talking to Simon and he is saying that if he doesn't let them have fun on the island then he foreshadows that all the boys on the island are going to kill him. When the lord of the flies says he wants them to have fun he means that he doesn't want him to tell the other boys that there isn't a beast because he wants them to be afraid. This is the most terrifying because its a pig head talking to a person.

The person that is responsible for Simon's death is mostly Jack. However, all of the boys chimed in. Its mostly Jack's fault because he said Simon was the beastie in disguise. If Jack wouldn't have said this maybe they would have given Simon a chance to talk. I think that if Jack would not have encouraged the other boys Simon would still be alive. Its Jacks fault that Simon died if he never made the boys crazy and vicious this wound not have happen.

Blog 5: Beast from the Water

Ralph called an assembly today about the new rules. The new rules are to go to the bathroom in the place where the ocean washes everything away. We also need to make sure there is drinking water in the coconuts. We also need to keep the signal fire going. I like the rules because they are going to help us to be civilized. Things are falling apart because the boys aren't listening to the rules. The littuns are still goofing off. I think the littluns cry in their sleep because they are dreaming about the beastie. I don't think the beastie is real. Percival Wemys Madison is that the beastie is coming from the water. I think thats totally ridiculous and not true.
I think the worst part of human nature is that theres always a good side of people and a bad side of people. I think people are getting competitive over who is boss. This is bad because they're going to end up fighting a lot more and its going to be more difficult to live. This could happen with Ralph and Jack.
If I was the leader of the boys I don't really think that would work because Jack is really bossy and I don't think he would get along. He could probably hurt me because hes the only one with a knife.
